I’m a crafty thirty-something Aquarian married to a math whiz and mom to 2 insane cats.
I’ve been stitching away in some manner or another for over 20 years and design for cross-stitch, crochet and knitting under the name “Alynxia Designworks”. I’m also slowly tip-toeing towards spinning and dying my own yarn.

Would you be able to tell me a little about what city and year you found the poem “I am proud to be a Canadian” and do you have any idea who the author is? My late father-in-law also came across this poem and had a copy hanging in his office. Any info you have would be appreciated. Thanks. Pauline
Hi Pauline, I found the scroll in an Ontario thriftstore well over 10 years ago. I have no idea as to who penned it. I would date the scroll to the mid-to-late 1960s by the graphics. Perhaps you could find out more by contacting a local university that deals with Canadian contemporary literature or The League of Canadian Poets. HTH
